  • built to an EnerGuide rating of 83 or higher, or
  • built to Efficiency NB’s Net Zero Standards

Please note: New homes that use electric heat resistance equipment as their primary heating system are not eligible for Efficiency NB incentives. What qualifies as an electric resistance heat source? Electric baseboard, electric boilers, electric in-floor heating and electric furnaces are electric resistance heat sources.

Please check with Efficiency NB to confirm your eligibility by calling our toll-free number: 1-866-643-8833.

*To qualify for the Solar Domestic Hot Water (SDHW) or Geothermal incentives, homes must meet program qualifications BEFORE the SDHW or Geothermal systems are taken into consideration. Homes that do not meet the Energy Efficiency Specifications and require the SDHW or Geothermal systems to meet an EnerGuide rating of 83 will be awarded the Efficiency grant amount.
