The annual Premier’s Awards for Energy Efficiency is now in its fifth year and has become one of the most respected awards programs of its kind in Canada. Premier David Alward will present the awards on May 9th, 2013 in Fredericton.
The Premier’s Awards were developed by Efficiency NB to recognize companies, organizations and individuals for their innovation and achievement in the field of energy efficiency in NB. Past winners have included homeowners from all corners of the province, businesses including Peterbilt New Brunswick (2009), ALLSCO Windows and Doors (2009), and Amcor Rigid Plastics (2010); communities of Sackville (2010), Saint John (2011), Quispamsis (2012) large industries including Flakeboard Co. Limited (2009), Irving Paper (2012) and groups including Carleton North High Environmental Science Class (2011) and Atelier R.A.D.O. of Edmundston (2011).
Categories and the nomination process are explained below. Participants may nominate themselves and nominees may be eligible for an award in more than one category, depending on the applicable award criteria. Nominees are NOT eligible if they have received an award within the past two years (2011, 2012).
