DESCRIPTION

The Energy Efficiency Capital Planning Tool and its accompanying guide was developed by Efficiency NB in order to assist municipalities and rural communities with planning and prioritizing the renewal of their physical assets and to show how savings from energy efficiency programs, such as those offered by Efficiency NB, can be used to offset the cost to repair or replace deteriorating assets. The guide provides information on the fundamentals of capital planning and a simplified tool (in spreadsheet form) to help communities prioritize capital requirements and better apply limited resources to those projects with the maximum benefit. The tool will also help to illustrate how savings, leveraged from energy programs, can be reinvested into capital plans.

All NB municipalities and rural communities are eligible to receive the Capital Planning Tool and Guide. If you would like to receive a copy of the tool or guide, please contact us.
