Plug the leaks.
Air leakage represents 25% to 40% of the heat lost in an older home.
Install and set a programmable thermostat. As a general rule, you will save 2% on your heating bill for every 1°C you turn down the thermostat at night.

Use energy-efficient shower heads. They conserve energy without changing water pressure. Low-flow shower heads use up to 60% less water than standard ones.
Turn off the water heater. Be sure to use the vacation setting or turn off the water heater when you are out of town.
Did you know?Leaks can be costly. A leak of only one drop per second wastes about 9,000 litres of water per year, or the equivalent of 16 baths every month.
