COMMERCIAL LIGHTING PROGRAM
In 2007, Efficiency NB launched its commercial lighting program, Bright Ideas. The program was highly successful and has now ended. The program reduced the amount of energy used for lighting in commercial buildings by promoting the use of high performance premium lighting products. Since 2007 over 844,678 premium energy efficient lamps and ballasts have been purchased and installed in New Brunswick offsetting an estimated 24,339 GJs of energy and 3,446 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. This has had the same effect as taking 659 cars off the road for one year. Even though the Bright Ideas program has ended, commercial lighting remains an excellent opportunity for reducing energy use in commercial buildings. For more information contact us
